| Three-and-a-half stars from the San Francisco Chronicle: "Complex aromas and flavors of eucalyptus, chocolate, butterscotch, tar and tobacco evolve from the glass, which underscore the palate’s spice and concentrated, succulent fruit. The deliciously balanced finish goes on and on. This 2006 Shiraz walks the tightrope between finesse and concentration. It has a stylish perfume of lemon pith (unusual for Shiraz), lipstick, raspberries and juniper. The aromas are vibrant and explosive. The palate is concentrated and seductively lush with black fruits, spicy dark chocolate, hints of vanilla bean and soft, grainy tannins. |
