This blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot is a sleeper of the vintage. Sweet black currant fruit intermixed with some roasted herbs, licorice, and background oak is followed by a medium-bodied wine with excellent concentration, fresh acids, and ripe, sweet tannins. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.
