The Wine Advocate 87 pts - Mark Squires The 2007 TINTO (QUINTA DA SOALHEIRA) is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca. It is bright and elegant, with a bit of barnyard, resulting in a silky wine with some complexity and intensity, but not a lot of depth. I rather enjoyed this, as it is well crafted, with some intensity and character, a wine that exceeds expectations in terms of structure. Not everyone will appreciate the gamey notes, though. The mid-palate is on the elegant side. It is a rather nice value, serious but not forbidding. Drink now-2017.
Wine Enthusiast 87 pts - Roger Voss A rich, juicy wine, bursting with black currant and red plum fruit flavors. The wine is sweet, soft, the tannins fitting into a profile of light wood, the whole finished with light acidity.
Description: Appearance: Strong ruby color.
Aroma: Ripe red fruits enhanced by smoky, spicy aroma from aging in oak.
Taste: Balanced mouth feel. Ripe fruits dominate with tannins which give it structure and a persistent aftertaste.
