The nose is rather tight, but building in intensity with aeration with notes of limestone, white flowers and just a touch of apricot. This is quite a sophisticated bouquet from Filhot. Good weight on the entry, bright apricot and peach flavours but the finish is just a little lean. Not a bad effort though.

Wine Spectator 87 pts - James Molesworth
Quite forward, with candied pear, green fig and honeyed notes, as well as a slightly blowsy edge on the apple-filled finish. Drink now through 2015.

Wine Enthusiast 93 pts - Roger Voss
92-94 Barrel sample. An impressive wine. It shows just the right balance of dry botrytis and sweet fruit, bringing a firm structure as well as ripe bitter orange marmalade flavors.
