Taste: Full Bodied, Dry
The Wine Advocate 89 pts - Robert Parker This is their basic cuvee, as I don't have tasting notes for their Cuvee Madeleine. Always one of the best wines of this satellite appellation of Pomerol, the Grand-Ormeau displays plenty of kirsch and plum-like fruit, some background oak, a plush texture, user-friendly, gratifying flavors, and a broad, savory texture. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
Wine Spectator 86 pts - James Suckling A little rustic, with raspberry jam and tarragon character on the nose and palate. Medium- to full-bodied, with soft tannins and a medium finish. Best from 2010 through 2014. 4,165 cases made.
Description: Arguably is the most renowned wines on earth, the classed growths of Bordeaux continue to epitomize the power and complexity of what Bordeaux blends are capable of. This wine has an elegant balance of ripe fruits, minerality and layered complexity. Full bodied.
