| Wine Spectator top 100 2008
A dark wine, nearly opaque at the core, the 2004 Dierberg Vineyard Pinot Noir features aromas of wild sage, blackberry and some of the wild raspberry notes that characterize the vineyard. The '04 features a whiff of crushed red and green peppercorns and a licorice note that reflect the concentration of the vintage. The blackberry theme continues on the palate with a firm structure and just enough acid to keep things fresh. The wine finishes very long and will easily overpower lighter meats. |
