The fragrances exhibit considerable complexity, opening to dark fruit such as plum and black currant. Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti Riserva 2005 offer pungent spiciness with hints of clove and cinnamon. On the palate the wine shows impressive pulp, depth and fine-grained tannins that marry beautifully with its alcohol. The resulting wine is a solidly-built red that leaves a lingering, seamless, long-lasting finish.
