Sweet aromas of cherry, red fruits and forest floor lead to a broad, full-bodied palate with similar flavors, a hint of spice, a pleasantly earthy note, velvety mouth-feel, and crisp acidity on the lingering finish. A lingering finish gives the overall impression of a fine silk glove.

It's been said that great Pinot Noir can only reach its most eloquent expression with a good amount of vine age. We couldn't agree more: our Julia's bottling is anchored by one of the oldest commercial plantings of Pinot Noir in Santa Barbara county (1974), producing a wine that's both floral and earthy on the nose and silky on the palate. Named after proprietor Barbara Banke's daughter Julia, this Pinot Noir is born from an amalgam of different clones and vine ages, with older plantings and clones providing minerality and gravitas and the newer material conferring dark fruit aromatics and a lush texture.

Three Saints Pinot Noir 2009
Three Saints Pinot Noir 2009 - 87pts
Reg: $23.99
On Sale: $18.78

Red Wine   Rated 87pts by WE

Our most overtly fruity and exuberant Three Saints Pinot to date, the 2008 shows bright blackberry, crushed raspberry and subtle black tea notes. On the palate the wine is both vibrant and luxuriously rich, with decadent creamy blackberry flavors underpinned by satiny tannins and a blast of fresh acidity. Although our 2008 Three Saints Pinot will age well for up to three years, it would be a shame not to drink it now for its almost primal sense of gratification.

White Wine   Rated 92pts by WE

Chardonnays from the Dierberg Vineyard are characterized by their strong impression of acidity and by a finish that lingers for nearly a minute on the palate. They are among the rare Californian Chardonnays that will gracefully improve with age for 5 years, or more. Deep tangelo, grapefruit and lemon grass aromas are balanced with fresh lemon peel notes and a creamy hazelnut impression. On the palate the wine is all citrus: lemon rind, lemon curd and lemon blossoms. With strong acidity and a tightly wound structure, the '06 Dierberg Vineyard Chardonnay drinks deliciously now with strongly flavored fish and even veal or simply prepared pork. With several years in the cellar, expect the '0...
