John Anthony Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 - 92pts
Price: $55.98

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on three little vineyards I planted and farm in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The climate and soils create a beautifully balanced and rich wine with flavors of blackberry and blueberry. There is a hint of sweet oak with a big rounded mid palate and smooth finish due to the integrated tannins. Enjoyable upon release and will continue to improve for years to come.

Nestled at the foot of the Palisades in Northern Napa Valley, the Lamb Vineyard has been a source of great pride for our family over the past quarter of a century. Calera Mills Pinot Noir 2009 - 93pts
Price: $43.98

A beautiful, perfumed bouquet of red currant, boysenberry, stone and a soft, smoky hint introduce this firm yet very elegant 2008 Mills vineyard Pinot Noir. The teeny, tiny (less than a half ton per acre) grape yield harvested this vintage gives an intensity and purity to the steely, round, candied fruit accented mid-palate with a round, viscous mouthfeel. A backbone of gentle but prominent tannins give way to a juicy, graceful and persistent finish.

Marques De Caceres Gran Reserva 2004 - 92pts
Price: $27.50

Intense, dark cherry-red color. Complex bouquet that reveals a splendid balance of mature fruit and a delicate touch of spice (vanilla, refined leather) from the French oak. Powerful in the mouth with sensations of fleshy, crystallized fruit that highlight a pleasant fullness in which the slightly toasted notes from the wood are perfectly integrated. A very elegant wine that promises to develop splendidly in bottle.
Serving suggestions: An ideal wine to accompany game dishes in sauce or ragout, lamb or beef with spices (roast, stewed or grilled), and mature or blue cheese.

The 2008 Dancing Bear delights the senses with heady, deeply concentrated and wonderfully complex aromas of black plum, crushed boysenberry, ripe olallieberry, fig, earth, baking spices and chocolate. On the dense, weighty palate, the wine delivers intense, mouthfilling, blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry and forest-floor spice flavors supported by supple, chewy tannins and a long, mouth-coating finish enriched by dark chocolate and toasted oak tones. Big and youthful with layers of intensely concentrated flavors, this dramatic mountain red drinks well now, but it will continue to evolve and become complex in bottle over the next decade.

Taylor Fladgate Tawny 40 Years - 95pts
Price: $149.96

An incredible example of an old Tawny port. A rarity, as few houses will make a 40 year old tawny. This wine is olive gold in color with rich caramel, butterscotch, hazelnut flavors. The concentration in this port also produces a wine with amazing length, which lingers beautifully in the palate.

Dom Perignon Champagne 2000 - 95pts
Price: $398.97

On the Nose: Fresh, crystalline and sharp, the first nose unveils an unusual dimension, an aquatic vegetal world with secret touches of white pepper and gardenia. The wine reveals a light, gentle maturity before exhaling peaty scents.
On the Palate: The attack bursts forth, before maturing into a sensual fullness that winds around itself, like a tendril of foliage. Notes of liquorice and dried ginger linger on the skin of fruit (pear and mango), more textured than ripe.
The finish gradually unfurls and then settles, smooth, mellow, all-encompassing. An indefinable je ne sais quoi, never upsetting the integrity of the wine, has worked its charm.
